Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the art and science of muscle manipulation, used to improve blood flow & circulation to constricted muscle tissue.

Through a combination of relaxing and therapeutic techniques derived from the Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports modalities of massage, my mission is to nurture your body’s ability to heal itself.

Therapeutic massage includes deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and fascial release. My custom deep tissue sessions begin with fascia work and complimentary hot towels for proper warm up before we begin work on knots and trigger points. Fascia work uses friction and techniques like skin-rolling to affect the superficial layers of fascia that encase all muscles. This web-like network is the natural lubrication that our muscles need to glide smoothly and function properly. Fascia can become restricted and lose its mobility, and may need attention in addressing painful knots.

Knots are muscle fibers that became taut from repeat stress, tension, and overuse. Over time, these taut bands get wound up like a rope, and blood flow becomes restricted. Without proper blood flow, knots start to form as the muscle fibers can no longer relax! They become locked in contraction.

My practice is unique in several ways. First, it’s just me! I’m an independent massage therapist, which means I’m open to your feedback, and I’m dedicated to finding the right massage approach for you.

I provide hot towels at no extra cost, as my ultimate goal is for you to walk out feeling your best. My prices are inclusive, no gratuity is expected. I charge what I’m comfortable with for my services, so I can focus on what matters - you!

I have a dedicated approach to designing your massage. Tell me about your lifestyle, and I’ll help figure out where habitual tension may be present. I use your feedback each time to track your progress and adjust for our next session.

For example, I include scalp, jaw, and face work for many of my clients - addressing the pain caused by clenched jaws, furrowed eyebrows, stiff necks, and other symptoms of emotional & mental stress.
